Superstorm Sandy arrived in late October 2012 and devastated the Eastern United States. From Florida to Maine, thousands of people were injured and left homeless. Particularly hard hit was New Jersey and it's shore towns. In support of Sandy's victims, wood planks were salvaged from discarded remnants of the iconic and destroyed Atlantic City Boardwalk. These limited edition soft shutter release buttons were milled from those remnants of the Atlantic City Boardwalk. A truly unique and heirloom way to preserve a piece of American History.
As you can see from the images the buttons are quite consistent in their color and tone the varying and unique factor in each piece are the presence of horizontal stripes.
